No, the Signature issuer is 64 bytes long starting at location 0x140. The 60 bytes at 0x180 contain information specific to your wii.

Again NO, the 4 bytes at 0x1D8 are actually your wii's ID... Trying to install a wad that already has a wii ID in the ticket will fail, it is meant to be added when the ticket is installed to the wii's nand.

Anyone who distributes wads made with this tool (in its current state) is asking for trouble.

I probably sounded harsher than I meant to, the interface is actually very nice - better than any of the other wadpackers (and it doesn't have the dumb text/binary bug that bfgr has). But could I make a feature request asking for the option to change the Title ID? Also when it lists the .app files, is it using the index or content ID for the filename? Other wadpackers use the index but I think it is better to use the content ID, since that's what is used for the filename when the wad is unpacked to the wii's nand.

i'm sorry. i got no ability for program coding. what i can do is to learn how to use tools made by others.

i used to pack wads i wanna share using 3 more tools. so i'm intrested in ur new tool. it really great help.

all i want is to share things easily and safely and don't get into trouble.

To use the Content ID for Filename... I change this in the next version

The trailer is just padding, the wii doesn't even use it for anything. I think you can set the trailer size to 0 in the wad header and leave it out, and the wad will still work.
I don't think you have to modify the banner when changing the Title ID. Just make sure to use the new Title ID as the IV when generating the AES key used for packing (which is probably already taken care of in your code).
 
to change wad's title id, i just simply modify the 4 words inside tmd & tik by hex-editor, and repack them with trucha signed. it works.
 
Ok for change the TitleID... I modify the TMD, Ticket and I edit the banner for doesn't have problem !
For the banner preview... I wanna add this feature in a futur version... But after I would have a full edition of WAD (Ticket, TMD, Cert, DOL, etc...)

Finally somebody is creating useful homebrew instead of crap like custom health warnings.
 
Because it's extremely light, doesn't require an installation (which no utility should, really), and looks like it's going to be more feature complete than any other wad tool out there.
 
does this mean in theory (though it may take many a brick lol) one could get 007 or conker injected into a rom?!
