Hacking Wad help

I am using wad manager 1.4. When I try to install any wads it says error ret = -1029. Did I forget something? do I have to install some other cIOS? My wii is 4.2U. Thanks for any help, sorry for bein a n00b...

Get a newer wad manager like YAWMM or Wad Manager 1.7.

I'm sure one exists somewhere, but I don't have one myself. Google will likely help. If you can't find one, you can make your own with a tool like CustomizeMii.

Also, if you haven't already, install brick protection before you install anything else.

Let me guess, you have a wad manager 1.4 channel. If so, just inject the 1.7 dol with CustomizeMii.

Priiloader is the best protection assuming you can't run bootmii as boot2. Be sure to keep the NAND backup you made somewhere safe.

Also, like Gordinio said, if you have a WM 1.4 channel, you can just update the channel with customizemii by injecting the 1.7 DOL.

Channel wads are allowed, just so long as they're not official Nintendo channels.
