vWii, patched IOS80 not necessary?

Patched iOS 80 is meant to be remove the sign check on channel installed on sd card so you can use or not generally is better have it then no…

I'm not concerned anymore, did some reading, I see that there are ways to restore the vWii without any hardmod if anything should go haywire. I found that you could even do it without a NAND backup with vWii Decaffeinator V2.

This means it is now possible to restore a vWii from a 100% empty NAND.

I'm going to leave it as is, don't see any reason to remove it.

It's necessary for using the sdcard to keep wiiware there. Besides more storage space, you'll be able to select up to 240 titles.
If you don't play more than a few wiiwares, you may be more comfortable installing them to the internal nand. Not ios80 patching needed.
Or, you can setup an emunand, but that's not an official method.
