Hi, I have a USA Wii U and my vWii kicks back to the Wii U menu when I try to launch it.

  • Region: USA
  • vWii worked before
  • Now it instantly returns to Wii U menu
  • Removing SD card does NOT fix it
  • Wii U side works fine
  • Aroma is working
  • No black screen, just immediate kickback

I generated USA vWii repair files using ModMii on Windows 7.

Before installing anything, I want to confirm:

  1. Is reinstalling IOS80 (vWii) and then System Menu 4.3U (vWii) the correct fix for this symptom?
  2. Is there anything else I should verify before installing?
  3. Safest WAD manager recommendation for vWii in 2026?

I want to avoid bricking vWii.

Thanks!

What did you even do after I suggested the Decaffeinator in the other post you made?

You can use the Decaffeinator again to restore the system menu and IOS 80, but you might as well restore everything in the Advanced Mode list. If that fails, try the other modes.

As for WAD Manager recommendations, use YAWM ModMii Edition
