You know...you're absolutely right. Well...about there not being made anymore. All I could find was a F2P game called 'snow' that's in early access for a long time. An SSX HD remake can't be the most recent one...right? 
Not that sure if VR is the solution, though (I admit I chuckled at the thought of "1080 VR"...I immediately saw someone wearing an oculus or vive jumpspinning around in the living room ). But who knows...if motion tracking is good enough, it could just as well be the killer app that would finally make VR something people actually want.

If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction -

You either need to be intubated to bypass obstruction or create a stoma inferior to the the area of obstruction to survive
