If I bought a component cable for my wii. Then used this
http://www.pccables.com/cgi-bin/orders6.cg...heck&rcode=
to connect it with this http://store.itrimming.com/pothvgargbx1.html.
I could get all of these for $ 10 dollars using google checkout. So I just want to know if it would work.
Don't think that'll work. Just get one of these:

I'm not sure if those work at all.. But it's worth looking into.

That thing only works if your VGA port is capable of taking component signals, and most Computer LCD screens cannot though most TV's without component port with a VGA port can use this cable and projectors for example.

I just received my HDboxPro.
I ordered it on 29 april, so it's almost 1month for France delivery.

As the AC adapter is an HK format, I used one I had but it's only 500mA and it's not working.
The LED is on red/green but no signal go to the VGA output.

I will have to order a new AC adapter now with at least 1000mA (1A).

You couldn't just use a plug like this one? I use that and it works fine..

I don't think so, unless your monitor supports interlaced/component video signals. You're likely going to run into aspect ratio problems as well so I advice to use some dedicated device like the HD Box Pro.

I just received the Mayflash VGA Wii/PS3 cable. It's a component to VGA converter in the form of a cable.

The image quality of the wii is great. The only problem I have is that the image turns black for 1 second every 30 seconds or so.

Does anyone else have this problem as well?
Don't tell me you've got a Samsung monitor... 226BW?

I don't. I'm using a iiyama Vision Master 505 CRT.

Apparently the image drops a second every +- 30 seconds. Hope the cable does werk flawlessly with the PS3.

I've received my hdboxpro, it works fine. I've tried with xbox, 360, wii and ps2 (with xcm multi component v3).

its not HK adapter I think, its a US adapter, and I have suggest them provide us-->eur adapter together and they said they already done from May order. thats mean your box is not from hdboxpro.com or buy it just too early...

dont 500ma is not safe for hdboxpro, try using a adapter like jelbo provided

Yes, that's correct.
I received my HD Box Pro last week, and they included an adapter (US --> EUR) as shown in the picture above.
Works absolutely perfect.
Have encountered no problems so far.

Yes, I ordered in april, too early by few days ;__;

I received my 1A AC adapter.
It's working perfectly now
smile.gif

Sometime the picture is jumping (maybe loss of synch, but it's really short not even 1sec)

All is working fine.
It's great thing to let the user choose the resolution manually.
Thank you for this product

Then I tested what I asked few pages ago : NTSC PSX game on PAL PS2 console.
It's not working
hate2.gif

Now I understand that's a console video signal problem and VGAboxes can't do anything.
With RGB scart cable Image is too hight, I'm loosing 1/4 of the top picture.
With YPbPr it's better (something like 10pixel lossing only)

It's working fine and well centered with PAL PSX with RGB scart cable.
PSX console with VGAbox have image at the right place but not the good color space (ntsc is not recognised).
PS2 with scart cable is not working either. only PSX console can send good data to the TV.

I think it's alright with 10pixels lines hidden.

LCD spec always show it support component signal or not.

Is it possible for a VGA box to say, allow the monitor to view digital tv through a digital tv box (DVB-T type such as freeview)?

My solution for digital tv with VGA box is

Set top Box --> component Cable --> HD BOX PRO --> VGA Cable --> LCD Monitor

remember to choose a VGA box support 480i 576i for some channel that is not 720P or 1080I/P

I have a pal wii with fw 3.2E and wiikey v1 with 1.9s fw. My monitor is SAMSUNG 206BW and i use the xcm 1080 adapter. Although i can play most wii games with only a black screen flicker randomly i cannot play VC games..the screen goes black and a bouncing box about NOT OPTIMUM MODE e.t.c appears. I cannot afford to buy a new tft screen but i am willing to pay about 100euros for a descent similar solution. Is there any vga box / cable that works with all games like using my wii with a scart connection.? My next step is to change my 206BW with a pc monitor with scart or component input.
