Back in my high school, a lot of people would go out to nearby MacDonalds to eat. And one of my friend tagged along to hang out during lunch break but I've seen him order a Big Mac without patties.

I came back from MD just now and suddenly remembered him and his Big Mac.

P.S. The lack of "Yes, I order regular burgers with patties" is because I'm assuming you stay true to your vegetarianism (is that even a word?). Please let me know if you're a vegetarian and still eat meat (?).

Until just recently I had been three months into eating 100% raw foods. Postponed when I went to San Francisco, and working my way back into it.

Voted "other".

I am a great fan of meat but living with a few vegetarians over the years I have come to like some dishes.

In the US and Canada it seems a lot has changed in the last 10 years (still not as much as some places in Europe mind) to the end that vegetarian burgers are offered (and not just nasty tofu stuff). As for mcdonalds I would rather starve (either way the food does me no good as it does not stay in me for long enough).
Other than that it normally just means a bit of planning ahead of time as there are normally several places that can cater.

I'm not a vegetarian but I cant eat the meat commonly found in US restaraunts because of religious reasons. We dont really eat out, but we do often get dranks/desserts from places that qualify as a typical "burger joint"

Just fruit and vegetables (and nuts).

Even if I wasn't vegetarian, I wouldn't go within 100 yards of a place like McDonalds. I go into real restaurants that serve hamburgers or gyros or things like that all the time, though.
