Emulation VBALink with GBC Games

Does this method work? I really want to transfer some Pokemon from Gold to my Crystal, and then transfer the .sav file over to my MicroSD so I can play it on Lameboy.

I heard it only works with GBA games..

I don't think it does, however, there's a GBC emulator called TGBDuel that's capable of trading and is compatible with the VBA saves (from memory, it's been a while). Good luck!
