I am thinking it may be a bad idea to use your gamer profile/saves on an offline rgh console...
Do people just transfer all their saves to a new profile on their RGH console?

I keep my retail profile on retail 360.

Realistically you can, sign in after you load the game and sign out before you dashboard. I have a ton invested in my profile, so... why I'm personally iffy about it.

if you're caught, they might ban the account. I doubt they'd ban the system though considering what you're trying to do can be done on a nonjtag/rgh. I was unlocking achievements a long time ago with my flashed drive. I was unlocking them with an app. I did get caught. all microsoft did was reset my gamer score. neither the account nor system were banned. I never really got that much game time on the 360. however, what might happen is speculation. personally, I wouldn't use it you have a lot of purchases.

edit: since I don't play my 360 much, or really anymore, I changed my account name. that would be a red flag, I guess. I would never use that account on a retail system either.

Last edited by godreborn,
I ended up just copying my profile to a second USB and use the save games from that. My RGH console doesnt seem to care that my saves were made on a different console, use to cause issues with my standard consoles.

I did a lot of testing with this many years ago now: Using an Xbox Live profile on a Jtagged / RGH hacked Xbox 360 and staying safe

The TLDR version is sign in after you have launched the game (presuming its a retail game and not a beta) and sign out before you quite the game. Never have your profile signed in with any sort of homebrew loaded up, that includes dashboards such as Freestyle or whatever people are using these days.

I kept my profile on a usb memory stick and swapped it between my live and Jtag console for years without issue, I was very careful with my live profile on my Jtag console though and always used the MS dashboard, so i'd have to very much go out my way to accidentally load homebrew with my live profile signed in.
