Hacking Used ModMii, Used Wii Backup Manager with backups

I used ModMii and followed the instructions (4.2U), used Wii Backup Manager, formatted an external hdd:

Seagate Expansion ST907504EXA101-RK Hard Drive - Retail 750 GB - 5400 rpm - 2.5" - External

plugged it in, and SD Loader doesn't do anything. When I press Start in the SD Loader channel, it loads back into the main menu.

Any ideas?
