To restart usb loader after exiting a game, this might work:
Extract the dol from forwarder channel and install that as preloader's autoboot
then set the reboot option to launch the autoboot dol

how about adding a page up and page down on game selection window? right now you have to scan individual game.

yes i seem to remember reading that before, whats your opinion on grante suggestion?

About returning to loader instead of Wii Menu ?
Not very interested in for me...
If it is implemented, okay, but I would prefer other things like alternate cover download url in config.txt or auto-update of the loader...

@grante

many thanks that sounds like a possible solution, as the main reason for the wii at our house is to play games, and as they will all be on the usb hard drive it seems logical to boot straight to it

The biggest problem with that solution for me is that it makes it far more difficult (I actually have to get off the couch difficult) to get back to the system menu to play my wiiware/vc games.

Why does this Loader have a txd? It should just have all the stuff built in it with multiple versions. The thing that bugs me the most is that you cannot run this from preloader, and you cannot inject this into a wad because it code dumps.

the config.txt is to make this loader completely customizable, so he doesn't have to compile 30 different versions all just a little bit different. Try 7.1 from preloader as freeimage library was removed, that may have been causing you those errors

did you get this to run from the preloader. if so how did you get it to work.

Thanks

The dol directly from preloader probably will not work. Instead, try to run the forwarder dol from preloader.
The working forwarder that is, there also is a codedumping one

i run 7.0 straight from preloader (well my wii boots directly to v7) had code dups from 2 things. 1 was save settings and the other was cover resize error. but i dont show covers and everthing works great.

i have installed it on prelooader, thats how i got it to work.

Thats how I run it.. from preloader ... make sure you set it to return to preloader and not system menu....

EDIT!!

Just realized I changed all my paths in the source so everything is located in sd:/usbloader/

So might not work from the dol...

i just updated my usb loader but it doesnt seem to be using my config.txt or title.txt there both with the dol file in E:\apps\usbloader
it worked with the last version i had (whichever that was) but not now i upgraded, do they need to be elsewhere now?

i know its not using my config as it doesnt load my bg or console cords
and i know its not loading my titles.txt as wii sports has that long name again

this is working for me now but unfortunately 98% of the skins on my site will not work in wide screen mode. already tried to re size my skins and use them but they either don't show up or don't line up correctly. damn shame.

Yeah its working great for me, just waiting on some widescreen backgrounds with the new boxart sizes

Has that changed again? What's the new size (for widescreen) ?

130x225 is the boxart size for widescreen

I edited WiiShizza's latest 16:9 to use with 130x225 covers here > http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=147...t&p=1914973

Thanks for the new version.

Im after a background which will allow 12 items in the list, im sure some will get posted soon.

Scooby,

Thanks for the info. Is there a master list for the Titles.txt... instead of doing it all by hand?
Yeah, someone posted it, nearly 80 pages ago...
wink.gif

I have it, but already changed it, according to my preferences, e.g. adding PAL, NTSC and NTSC-J and some additional information like cut and uncut and missing games.
I also renamed some games according to their European names, so if you like, I could upload it.
I think, a full titles list should be added to the full release btw.
Yeah mate could you post your edited file please, and oh my 1.5 is out this thread is already massive. but come on another 100 pages.
If you can wait till saturday, I will be glad to post my edited file. But atm I'm not at home, so no possibility to get the file and upload it... sorry.

To all, new 1.5 version of USB/SD Loader is up and running pretty fast (installing games and loading), the new upgrades are needed yet for the new version. Keep up the good work...

Ok, this post has nothing to do with this thread, but it seems that there are a lot of people in here that want to work with graphics.

I have made code that will display a spinning disk. It would rock it somebody could put together a database of pics of the disks. 160x160 png files. The corners and centers should be transparent. They are named with the same 6 letter name as the covers are.

anyone had this problem?

I posted about this problem a few times on this thread, but it seemed like either nobody was interested, or I was the only one have a problem. Now I see that I am not the only one here with the problem.

For me, It seems like the config.txt is being read, but titles.txt is not being read, no matter where I put it

Anyone have any idea why this would be the case?

really, how many cover size? How many screen size? How many possible combination?

4:3

PAL 50hz
or
PAL 60hz
or
ntsc 60hz (may be of identical size to PAL 60hz. I'm not sure.)

and

16:9

PAL 50hz
or
PAL 60hz
or
ntsc (may be of identical size to PAL 60hz. I'm not sure.)

4 covers and 4 screen seize?

someone might make a table please?

why not implement 50hz and 60hz in the next version?

Guys, here's newest bg. But this time in 4:3.
14m566u.png

console_coords=88,24,456,170
console_color=8,15
covers_coords=232,210
entry_lines = 3

I'm not sure about the coordinates, cos I couldn't test.
If you need to change the bold coordinates to make the console and the covers fit properly,
make sure you choose a value dividable by 4. Otherwise you'll end up with a black screen or the wiimote won't sync.

If coordinates need correction, plz post the fixed ones.

PSD of 4:3 and 16:9 version is available here.

@Oops

There are 2 (3) different possibilities.

1. NTSC 60hz
2. PAL 50hz
3. PAL 60hz (but this is really NTSC 60hz)

So depending on how you look at it, 4 or 6 different options when taking 4:3 and 16:9 in to count ;P
