Hello,

@ Fury28:

Yes you can start your games from the SD, but you have to go into the parameters of your loader and tell him to learn about SD.

the SD must be in fat32
ok can you give the path to get that setup? i believe the sd card is already in fat32 from the letterbomb and apps setup correct

currently USB GX doesn't seem to want to load unless usb is plugged in.. would be nice just to run sd card for the few games my kids play and not have to deal with hdd usb

USBLoaderGX is not compatible with Wii games on SD card. Why give wrong information ?is that on purpose? (not the first time jeannotte!)
Wiiflow and CG Loader can both launch Wii games on SD:/wbfs/ folder.

it has been requested many times, but it's not possible (yet).
though, USBGX can load gamecube or Wiiware from SD.

but your problem is USBLoaderGX or Wiibackupmanager ?

You can tell USBGX to not look at the USB at all, but you won't be able to play wii games :
settings > hdd menu > mount usb at boot : disabled.

if it doesn't save that setting, be sure you have a good meta.xml file in your loader's folder.
you can edit the argument manually if you want, but the loader should do it for you if you have a good meta.xml

@ Cyan:

I read on forums that USB loader gx could play games.

But I misread, and I realized after it was other games.

Excuse me for this impediment.

Regards, Jeannotte. ;)

Thanx for listening

be sure you formatted to FAT32 and not exFAT.

when you formatted the drive to wiiu format, it deleted the partition table info.

which partition table did you use when you formated the drive back to FAT32? MBR or GPT?
try the other one, usually MBR is better, but if you already have MBR then try GPT.

Can you take a screenshot of the disk properties in Disk Management? Right-click on the drive (not partitions) in DM and go to Properties>Volumes.

Note this is my one my Windows drives to show what I'm talking about, not what your Wii drive should look like. ;)

Hmm. The partitioning looks ok. It could be an issue with it being a removable/flash drive.

Converting to GPT won't fix anything. There's less homebrew compatible with GPT than there is MBR. (Right-clicking on it should give you that option, though. I think the disk needs to be offline for the option to be available.)

then why did it earlier work normally and after the wiiu format doesnt work thats weird also it works fine wit cfg usb loader but its no more supported and have no forwarder and the cheat seems a but difficult to use
so isnt there any solution?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

i tried to convert it and it seems that its inconvertable

Try unmounting it with the "Offline" menu option first for conversion. You may not be able to convert MBR>GPT with the disk management tool, though.

I'm not sure about the disparity between ULGX and CFG. They may not use the exact same drive initialization.

Sorry but i dont have exprience in such topics
Would help explaining it
I tried to do it via ms cmd using disk list command but it refused it

Also what do you mean by offline
Which one should be offline?

The drive you want to convert. I don't think it can do it while it's online (mounted).

did you try IOS58 for loader's IOS setting?
Didnt work as well
So if i buy a new usb stick how can i be sure that it will work because i cant refund it:wtf:

Also i want to know should i give up?

Sorry i know this took too long but all the hdd are usb 3.0 and the wiiu doesnt support it i think:huh: thats why i would want to buy a pin drive

Actually, Nintendo themselves say flash drives are not recommended or supported on the Wii U. They never officially supported any external storage on the Wii. (link)
