Hacking USB Loader GX

Anybody know if it's a bad idea to have both 002 and anti 002 fix both set to ON for every game?

Also, I am using cIOS222 for a majority of the games because cIOS rev13 has the problem where the Wii needs to be rebooted whenever you exit a game and want to choose another one. But now I'm reading that cIOS rev13 (249 in USB Loader) actually has better load speeds. Is this true? Right now I have 222 set as default, and 249 (cIOS rev13) set for Ghostbusters only.

If everything is working for you then it can't be too bad of an idea. For me it's hit or miss if a game loads when I use 249 global and 222 individual. When I do the opposite everything seems to work fine.

I think that getting game info with button 2 is a swell idea.
BUT would it not be a good idea to just show the whole cover with back and front (but specifically the back) , so we can read the game info and additional stuff about number of players, remote types, wfi etc from there? Would basically only require the full covers in a (yes I know: again another image) folder.
Seems less hassle than creating an xml with all that data?

No, but Raffles has quite a few. They are high resolution as well, but indeed quite large in size. Disk size should no be a problem for most people I would guess, but maybe this might make loading take too long.

So in USB Loader GX, in the global game load section, just leave Error 002 fix to No and Anti 002 fix to Yes and basically every game should work just fine? (Other than the fact that in Ghostbusters you need to choose Autopatch for video mode of course).

for anti 002 fix to work you need to enable 002 fix as well.

i enabled the 002 fix and put laungage to english....

is there any thinmg i need to do to fix it?

and it has force modes so the video output will be corrected if its bad

If you haven't already, try booting from 249 with all gamesettings default (002 fix off)

Good work guys, I got it running on my Wii now and so far the only issues I have experienced were Animal Crossing locking up and if you go back to the Wii menu and launch the USB Loader program again and attempt to load another Wii game, the screen goes black and I have to pull the power on the console. I am not sure if anyone else has encountered these issues or not so I thought I would report them here at least.

I had a weird code dump playing Mario Galxy so I cleared my SD and downloaded the 6/16 USB Loader GX off the forwarder site (haven't done any online updates after installation though). So I lost all my settings now I have to redo all the trial and error for Ghostbusters since I forgot what my settings were :/

Can anyone who has this working tell me what their settings were, for Ghostbusters and Boom Blox 2 (since I never got that to work), global and game specific?

I've been working and done any tests since 542 but with that rev I use the following:

cIOS 38 rev13a

Global
Boot/Standard - 249
Everything else default

Gamesettings
Error 002 Fix On
Everything else default

Since IOS reloading fix was added alt dol loading does not work for me.
Gone back to earlier rev when screen saver was added.

Same, doesn't work for me with the newest revision either.

I updated from r543 to r549 and my alternate dol games no longer want to work. All 3 of them get a black screen. I reverted back to 543 and don't have any problems. Just a heads up to everyone.

FYI, I updated to version r546.dol manually and everything was working fine, I even got ghostbuster to play. Then I tryed update feature that told me there was a new version available, and I updated. Then all my games were gone, all icons and menu were still there.

I checked with Waninkoko loader and games are still there.

I think the problem is not the dol itself, but the updater that screw config files or something, maybe it got something to do with the new UTF8 feature ?

Update your loader to a new version via the update-feature. It's a new revision out, which will fix the cause of this problem.

Yes... alternate dol support is gone again - I have to revert to 543 until it's fixed...
