Alright guys, so ive had everything working fine, I have just one problem. When ive finished playing a game and go back to the Wii menu, then load USBL GX to play another game, when i select the game it freezes. If I turn off the Wii, then back on again its fine. Any ideas how to solve this? Or am I doing someting wrong?

Thanks but this didnt fix it, i still get the error.

You no I get the same error to. But the dol works just find, the only thing I see changed is when I go to cridits there is no revion number. And it always ask me to update even if I have a higher revion. But that is not a big deal. So I would not let that stop you from making your own dol files. I am sure they will fix this or let up know what we have to do to get it to work.

Ok on rev489 I have 37 games on my fav. And when on my fav if I press down the code dump bug is gone. But just to let everyone know if you press up it still code dumps and if there is 0 or I thank less then 10 or so games on coverwall it will code dump. To fix just remove the config files. One code dump fixed 2 to go. But this why we beta text the new revions. even though I am sure the team already knows about these code dumps and will have them fixed soon.

Is there any chance of add the old grid with coverwall. My girlfriend liked it better and asked me to ask if it would not be to hard. I know what she is asking is alot because I have been over the files time and again trying to find a way to help. But if there is an easy way of adding the old grid let me know so I can tell her. Thanks for every thing. Just so it is clear I like the coverwall and would like both grid and coverwall. Good luck on fixing the coverwall, I thank your going to have to add code for 0 games up to 16 to fix. But I will wait and see what you come up with.

Cover grid is not working?
I have no problem with list and carousel modes, but in grid mode the covers do not load.

Hi,

I have the same problem (r488). Any solution?

Cheers!

It was answered.
Grind mode only works in wide screen.

Will it be back for 4:3 again? I dont have a wide screen tv.

Hi everybody,

I couldn't find a better place to look for support, so here it goes:

First of all, my specs:
  • first generation Wii
  • Wii OS Version: 3.4 E
  • Homebrew Channel 1.0.3
  • cIOS38 r13b (installed as IOS249)
  • USB Loader GX r482 (with latest forwarder)
  • 3.5'' HDD Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 200 GB
  • 2.5'' HDD Fujitsu something 120 GB
That's all that is modded on my Wii (ecxept for some emulators, but that is irrelevant to my problem, I think).

I can start homebrew, all emulators work (FCEU GX, SNES9x GX, etc, all latest versions)
I can also start USBLoader GX, but I can't quite install games!
Whenever I try, the installation starts but it fails shortly afterwards... The progess just stops. No error, no code dump, even the music goes on playing. Only thing that doesn't work anymore is the remote. This happens with both HDDs and even with different loaders (Waninkoko's Loader 1.5, USB Loader cfg 1.5)!

So, what is happening here? All you people seem to be able to use these loaders just fine... Is there something I'm doing wrong or are my HDDs just not really supported?

I'd be happy with any answer!

Ok, im really ripping hairs out now... All this info is too much to bear..... I've googled and searched and everything.... I've got Homebrew and all that, haven't played with the "ios" or "cios" stuff yet. I launch the loader and its telling me i need Cios249...

This is the part i dont understand, i have wii V3.3E, havent toyed with any ios or cios as i said, what do i do to change to cios249? I have downloaded Cios36 rev 7 installer from waninkoko, what now? Just slap it onto the sd card and go? Or surely its more involved than that??

4.0U - rev479

I plugged my SD card into my computer and opened my covers folder and there were like 60 folders and files that were all gibberish. If I try to open one it says that the data can not be read. The size of the folder is now like 270GB which is impossible since it is a 2GB SD card. Everything else on the card is normal and when I open the properties of the card the size and free space are correct. Has this happened to anyone else or has my SD just been corrupted?

@NinjaN
Which revision are you using? I had that issue with rev468. I updated to rev479 and it seems to be the most stable for me. Now installing game without issue.

Just put the Cios36 rev installer on your sd-card in the folder called apps (make that folder your self) sd:/apps and run it with the homebrew channel.

If you want to use any usbloader then you must install Cios36 rev9 or rev10.... Older versions will not work with any usbloader

So you say this is a known problem for some people? I couldn't find anybody else, maybe look harder next time...

Anywasy, I was using r482...

I'm just now updating my Wii to 4.0E, will see if this helps.
Afterwards, I'm gonna install cIOS 249 through "Network Installation", until now I installed it through "WAD Installation".

I'll also try r479 of USB Loader GX.

I'll tell you later if I had any success at all.

EDIT:
I am also now testing another HDD, this time it's a "Western Digital My Passport 500 GB"...
It was way faster than the other HDDs but I failed to completely install a game to it again.

New bug for me in Rev488. I'm getting a "WBFS partition not found" after clicking CIOS249. Once I restart my Wii it works fine but is getting annoying because anytime I turn off my Wii and turn it back on I get this at first boot of USB Loader.

NOOOO! Don't update (the regular way) to 4.0. You're fucked after that, because you won't be able to install ANY wads after that. Don't do it!

I did that once and had that problem. I managed through some tricky tutorial to get it back.

You can only upgrade safely with Waninkoko's 4.0 installer without losing WAD installing capabilities

Hope I warned you in time

Thanks for your warning, buddy

I do quite well know what I'm doing, I wouldn't have started the update if I had not found this tutorial before!

Seems easy enough, I'm just at the step to re-activate wad-installing...

where is the 002fix setting ,located in rev488?

Unlock in Parental settings, it will then show up near the rotating disk icon when you click to load a game.

That's not necessarily true. It was pretty breezy re-soft modding my Wii after doing a legit 4.0 update. You just have to do things in the right order and use bannerbomb.

sorry for being a noob but i have checked change logs and quite a few pages but i cant seem to unlock the console setting ..........is says locked on everything i try to do .....thought since rev 468 there was no passsword......what have i missed.........
