Hacking USB Loader GX

is there a way for me to install games off the DVD discs onto the loader?

Using the loader in the unlock situation.

Password by default is : ab121b

thanks, I wish it was just on the main screen, makes it a pain to unlock it every time in order to install a game

after you unlocked it go to password and delete it
it will show and it will stay unlocked till you give a new password

oh really, what happens when I install a new version of the loader though? doesn't the password reset to ab121b?

yes it will reset to ab121b

no it wont. the config files stay on your sd card and will be saved

I'm having problems trying to change the theme and game covers i go to settings and browse to where the themes are and nothing changes neither do the game covers.

just a little question , hope you will answer it ^^

i'm on the way to install this loader , that seems to be the greatest for the moment.
my wii is running under wiikey but isos on HDD is really better , no dvd waste (and money of course)
i plan on installing via forwarder , cause updates are multiple ^^
could someone list me the different folders i must create on my SD ?
i will use the official forwarder , and plan on using themes , covers , a language file (french) , and all the features possible ^^

the first folder is SD:/wad/ where you put the forwarder wad
then SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/ for the boot.dol of the usbloader
once you run the usbloader you can go to the options to see all the path you have to create (you can also change them)

ah yes, I removed config.txt once
Your right (duh, you created it): I just updated to r407 (already outdated it seems) and the password was still

I just installed Super Mario Galaxy NTSCU version but when I load it with the loader, it doesn't load up and there is a black screen, why is that?

I used that theme and there is no real problem with the grid (It doesn't overlap to much, only the top buttons are placed annoying)

the usb loader can load backups from a usb device (or sd card)
the only thing you need to install is cIOS36r9 (found on waninkokos site)
then run the USB loader with the Homebrew Channel and enjoy

the harware you need is a Wii and a USB storing device

this thread is about USB Loader GX, a program that allows you to boot Wii games at your Wii that are installed at your USB stroring device

It requires Waninkoko's CIOS v9 or greater to work and original cios_usb2 222 for full usb reading speed (but i think herme's cios at my site also does the job

)

ok, and what about the forwarder thingy ?
if you install it (its a wad file), it will show up in the wii menu. The only thing it does is loading the boot.dol (being the usbloader) in SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/
So you will need the sd card inserted.

You do not have to downgrade. Many people claim compatibility issues but I am still using v10 and it works great. However, when I do new Wiis I put them at v9 for now.
