If you only want to use the loader, you won't need any of those.

Here is what they do:
titles.txt: Chnages the displayed names of the games
Config.txt: Here you can edit some configs, as the name already suggests.
theme.txt: In here you can change the path to the theme you want to use in case you want to use a custom one and not the original one.
There are no defaults of those txt-files yet as far as i know.

Where on the first page do you see its based on 1.5????

copy paste from 1st page
This loader is based on the original by Waninkoko (v1.1) with many features of his v1.5. So far SD-support is not implemented.

with many features of his v1.5 doesn't mean we are actually using 1.5 and it also doesnt mean that the 512gb fix is included in here

well, what do you think?

beside the SD feature there where only bugfixes in that release, SD function is not yet added so I assume then that they sync the bug fixes.
Otherwise there is nothing left to base on 1.5 :-)

again, if I'm wrong, please correct me. I didn't verify this in source so purely assumption.

Your completely right I also think that 1.5 was for bug fixes and the SD feature seams useless but at the same time i dont know if all the fixes have been synchronized in this version

The only thing I don't like about the config.txt and titles.txt files being on the root of the SD card is the fact that another app could come out need the exact same requirements with same txt file names. I am not sure though if you can just customize the location of these files since I haven't been able to keep up with the development of this thing. LOL

I really hope they let us manipulate the entire theme, because I am still having problems doing things like changing font color and size and my source skills at the moment are wack.

As I'm not sure if this is a bug or an error on my part, so I'll post this here, but all of my images are on the root of my SD card in "images". In the loader I can see them but they appear garbled/scrambled. Any suggestions?

Are they sized properly?
they need to be 160x224.
If not, just find the latest post of BlindDude a couple pages ago. He has a cover-packs linked in his sig

I really don't like the idea of having those 2 txt files in root, it's just not a nice solution.
Just hardcode the path into the dol and force people to put the loader in \apps\guiloader for example.

I personally don't care where the files go. But in case you force people to put it to apps\guiloader please provide a forwarder channel link to that.
I think \apps\usbloader\ is the most common directory for the loader, since there is an working forwarder channel given a couple times in this thread.

If I am not wrong, the location the loader should look for the files are:

./titles.txt
./config.txt

As far as I know this means check the same directory the boot.dol was executed from.

yes but if it is wad file the txt files are not in the same place the wad gets installed so it would not see them

Man great work!

Question: Is there a forwarder channel yet? Is there a regular channel yet? If so what is the best one?

For me, a forwarder channel is really the best thing.
With so many updates being released, it is a lot easier

Agreed. It is the best way to stay up to date.

How about a locations/name list.

CODE
1. SD:/config-root.txtÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ // Looks here first for this config.
2. SD:/apps/GuiLoader/config.txtÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ // Looks here if first location missing.
3. SD:/apps/blah-blah-woof-woof/config.txtÂÂ // Looks here if first + second location missing.

or something like it, so if you want it in root you can, but if you hate it like the plague you can place it in same place as the boot.dol
