I spent a good portion of the night setting up my co-workers Wii.

I added 20+ games to the USB HD and tested all games, launched it dozens of times no problems.

I have the USB Loader GX channel installed on the wii menu.

I gave it to my co-worker (MINUS THE SD CARD), not sure why..., but now she gets a code dump screen on launch.

I guess my question is, once the channel is installed, do you need the files that are on the SD? cIOS, etc... or can you launch/play without SD card.

Thanks, sorry for the dumb question.

full install would still need the sd card to store files

    No forwarder installed.

So, *any* SD card can be used for it to write temp files or does it need my SD card with the boot.dol/cIOS/etc...?

    Thanks!

a lack of settings files would most likely not result in a code dump. it would just load the default values for each option.
