Is this bad idea? I have lots of eshop games on the Usb drive but they was installed on a 5.5.0 console and I want to use tcpgecko will this update my system soon as I plug it into 5.3.2 console?.

I'm assuming you're talking about Wii U content, which if is the case when you plug your HDD from one Wii U into another I'm pretty sure it will bring up the format prompt. I'm pretty sure when you create a Wii U formatted drive it gets tied to that specific console. Someone correct me if I'm worng.
Yup nm I should of Google seems it will need to be formated anyway.
