Having a lot of problems with USB cables for my Wii's USB loader, it seems to reject pretty much all cables a part from one (which is starting to stuff up itself, I think due to too many bends in the cable).

Just brought a new USB cable, it is USB 2.0 and is "transfer rates up to 480Mbps". However this cable out of its box is not able to load games at all.

So I'm just wondering, if a) is there anything I can do with this cables (I dunno, maybe I need to format them?) to make them able to play from my external HDD or b) do I need a specific cable speed/quality to be able to load game images from my HDD?
