Hi,

Will be getting 2 old 3ds' soon, 1 reg and 1 XL

One is fw 4.5 and the other one 7.x

What's the best way to get to 9.2?

Have a sky3ds with cubic ninja if that helps

sysupdater also works from lower to higher(though using a gamecard with a update is safer)
the cfw guide also works for o3ds, as long as you pay attention didnt know if he needed it just linked it to be sure.
as for the homebrew needed smealum.github.io/3ds/ (forget that part -.-)

Okay I've now got the o3ds xl, it's on fw 8.1e

Tried using slider hax to install to get to hbl launcher to instal sysupdater however it keeps crashing the browser. Tried at least 15 times.

Is there other anyway to get to 9.2 other than using slider hax?

Pretty sure you can directly use the browser to boot rxtools.

Setup rxtools 3.0, then go to the browser and go to https://dukesrg.github.io/?rxTools/sys/code.bin

You might need to inject FBI to H&S first so you can install sysupdater.cia, from there, you can update using sysupdater to 9.2.

If you have a sky3ds, you can directly update to 9.2 via smash rom.

Thanks you for your help, I tried with smash however it only came up with the 8.1 update.

I've tried rxtools, it launches find but when I try to inject fbi in h&s it gives me an error, something at A and something at B
