Hacking Updating Wii USB Loader to 2013 - 2011 State WBFS

Hello everyone,

Since I've been out of the scene quite some time I was wondering what I should do!

I have a USB Loader GX install, with the latest version.. However some issues I am experiencing.

- I am seeing Channels in my USB Loader GX, which I want to hide, I don't know how.
- I heard playing gamecube backups from USB Loader GX is now possible! WOW HOW?

I don't know the particularitied of GX but generally:

GC loading does not work from WBFS instead it requires FAT32
You either need to use a differnt partition if there is one on the drive (note that you can't resize WBFS)
or you need to convert the partition.

There are two programs that can be used by loaders to run GC games
"Devolution" and "Dios Mios"
there should be tutorials around

To update the softmod I suggest "modmii"

DIOS MIOS requires specific settings for the partition/HDD format. be sure to read other topics and guide.

About hiding the channels:
V3.0 can only "display" games from certain categories defined by the user, it doesn't hide specific games.

On r1189 (beta version released after 3.0), I added a new way to manage the Category filtering.
You can now select to hide some category while still keeping all other "un-categorized games" displayed.

I will not rewrite a guide here, but instead link to you some guide I wrote:

2- Using Category filtering (check the 3rd paragraph). Working on v3.0, not easy to setup.

Awesome! I did the guides and it works all perfectly fine! Thnx all. However, one thing is that I rather use Devolution for some games that are promalmatic with DIOSMIOS.

Could you tell me how I install Devolution and integrate it with USB LOAder GX?

I couldnt find how to just yet!

Go to Devolution topic, on the first post you will find two different links to devolution.
take the one with the sources (devo_src).
In that zip, you will find a "loader.bin" file that you need to place on your SD or USB (USBLoaderGX look for this file in /apps/gc_devo/loader.bin, but you can select the path in the settings).

Then, in USBLoaderGX, you can choose to launch gameCube using "GameCube Mode : MIOS or Devolution" (global setting, or per game settings)

Okay Thnx! Awesome, now one question about Devolution. I've some gamecube games, but since my Usb Loader GX wouldn't read my discs, I downloaded a few ISO's for the games I do own.

However how is Devolution going to check? Can I just insert the GC disc one time, once i start the game? Do I need to use CleanRip to re-rip the game to my Wii? Or else?
Please help
