Homebrew Updating EMUNand (While having SYSNand at 9.2)

Hello, I have a fairly simple question. I have an O3DSXL with a 10.3.0.28U EMUNAND and a 9.2 SYSNand. Can I update EMUNAND to 10.5? I want to test out my Smash Bros. backup online but it requieres the latest update.

Easy boot Emunand and ensure your in Emunand go to system settings and update like normal. Make sure your Nand's are unlinked

Just update Emunand to 10.5 then get the update from the eShop like you normally would.

Just make sure you backup your emuNAND BEFORE you update, in case anything goes wrong. Can't stress that enough... I use a program called usbit. It makes a complete backup of your sd card as and image (img) file. Takes a while, but it's worth it.
