Hacking Updating BotW with CBHC v.1.6 installed.

I am interested in getting Breath of the Wild, for my Wii U, but I am worried about any updates - whether it be for the system, or for the game - because I have Coldboot Haxchi installed. I know how to uninstall it, however I'm not sure how to safely update a game without losing my homebrew capabilities. Can anybody give me some more info on this? Is 5.5.1 still the most current firmware, and if so, can I update my game without having to worry about my coldboot hax.
