Hi, huiminghao! A good feature for nesDS would be the possibility to save the scaling settings for each game, because I can't stand playing with that squished screen (and I'm sure not only me).

Excellent emulator thus far. I've been using it on my Wood R4 with no problems. There's only one (Extremely miniscule) problem I've had with it... the barcode support only works for the Datach games. There's another game that has barcode support (Barcode World) and it doesn't work in that game.

Keep up the good work! :)

I have an idea that I would like to see implemented, forgive me if this has already been mentioned.

You know how the GBA contains the GBC sound hardware? Which allows it to not only play GBC games with sound, but many GBA games uses the GBC sound hardware (in conjunction with the GBA sound, of course). Well I was wondering, since the DS phat and DS Lite contains GBA hardware, if it would be possible to use the GBA's GBC sound hardware stuff. I noticed when playing the official GBA port of Mother 1 (the "Mother 1 + 2" compilation), and comparing it to the NES version of Mother 1 (aka EarthBound Zero) on nesDS, the sound on the GBA version sounded a lot crisper, and I preferred it over the sound on nesDS.

Obviously this would not be an option for DSi users, as the DSi does not contain a GBA.

(Note: The GBA port of Mother 1 does not contain any graphical or sound enhancements, it is a straight-up port of a NES game)

The GBC sound hardware is only accessible from within GBA mode, not within DS mode. I only know this because I asked that exact question from Dwedit years ago on the NES DS forums of PocketHeaven.

Thus far, none of the 1.* releases will play nice in my DStwo. Could it simply be because it's in a 3DS?
I dont have a DStwo card, so I cannt/wont test that. Seems there is someone wrote a plugin for DStwo, please check it on filetrip.net.
Does nesDS r98 have the some of the touchscreen controls mapped to the buttons like the nesDS MOD does?
I dont understand the nesDS MOD, but nesDS(EX) supports gestures on the touchscreen. Check menu>settings>short-cuts.

BTW, the FDS sound thind is supported by the latest nesDS r99 on sf.net, I just test it with Legend of Zelda 2 - Link no Bouken(fds), wish anyone could help testing that.

The mod he's talking about is from http://www.pocketheaven.com/ph/boards/viewtopic.php?t=6191 I believe. The idea was that you could use button combinations for certain tasks, like saving and loading savestates, without using the touchscreen at all.

I checked on that; latest one apparently uses the .ini file from 0.50a2; downloading the latest from sf.net of nesds I notice doesn't come with the accompanying nesds.ini file.

I recently updated my nesDS and am so impressed with where its at now.

I wondered if anybody knows if it is still being worked on as far as compatibility or accuracy goes only I couldn't get chase hq to work (kinda gets weird after I press start) and a game I really liked back in the day called solar jetman has slight graphic thing on cutscenes.

I'd like to help out but only play and cannot code but I could test and report games if useful.

Thanks to the people who working on this anyway, really great fun playing batman and others again.

This has got to be one of (if not THE) BEST emulators for any platform, ever.

It almost makes me wish I still owned a DS ;_; .

This is the only portable emu that ever ran the translated Kid Dracula on the nes for me. It always greyscreened on my psp :)

Funnily enough, I owned a boxed perfect copy of kid dracula I bought from bournemouth as a kid. Sold it for pennies to buy playstation games. It's now worth a fortune :( pfft.
