Hacking updated to 4.2 from 4.1 now can not play back up

hope so one can help my friend updated his wii from 4.1 to 4.2 yesterday i told him not to as he has a softmodded wii can not tell you much about how it was softmodded apart from that he had home brew preloader 0.29 and could play disk using the disk channel so assume he had coscourp 3.4 any help would be good

if he had cioscorp, then updated, he no longer has cioscorp. check which ios are trucha signed. in the meantime use the hackmii installer to install the new HBC (with the JODI id) and use something like neogamma.

how did he update?
if it was via nintendo
then his IOS's did not get overwritten.
then youll have the no vulnerable IOS problem
