Updated Firmware to 18.1.0 and AMS to 1.7.1, now I can't play any games anymore.

Hey all, I recently updated because I don't play my switch that often and when I tried to start it, it would give me some error, so I updated AMS to 1.7.1, figured I should update firmware somewhat current too.

Now all my games show the icon that says to redownload software. Previously I had this issue and I'd just update the sigpatches, but that is no longer working. I can still access homebrew through the gallery, but Awoo sigpatches used to work, now it doesn't (used to fix this issue every time,) sigpatch updater just doesn't work at all either. I even downloaded sigpatches from other sites, nothing is letting me play my installed games anymore.

I was recommended to now use syspatch, which also didn't work. What did I do wrong? I have hundreds of games but not the NSP's anymore, any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I just installed HATS pack, it didn't help. I feel like I have everything on here that should work, I'm really not sure what the deal is...

Ummmm, I don't know what's going on, but I booted to hekate and chose one of the different nands or whatever, and that one is working. Maybe I installed to sysnand since I don't care about getting banned, but how come that one works? I'm so confused.

its your boot method. since ams 1.7, ips patches no longer work with fuse.bin (Link scroll down to "fusee no longer supports applying IPS patches to KIPs."). thanks to that change not all the patches for sig patches get loaded. so you got some options to fix this.
1) use a modified version of fuse,bin that re enables ips patches.
2) use a fairly new sys-module called sys-patch (link to op for info) (since the dev of it got a C&D for the project, it got dropped but some members of the community keep it alive - Download Link
3) use hekate's fss0 method of booting atmosphere
