18.1.0 "nogc"

Hi All,

I updated Atmosphere to 1.7.1 as well as the fusee.bin before updating the EMMC to 18.1.0. After I did this I am now seeing a nogc error message when booting to emunand. I know that there was a patch for the fusee.bin but I downloaded the latest version on Github. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

In my hekate_ip.ini file I have the setting autonogc=1 and it has been like that with any prior firmware.

Any help would be appreciated.

The setting is for the card slot -> nogc = no game card

it activates the blocking of the slot so that no game cards can be read to block
card updates (autonogc=1). the "1" stands for blocking activated.

Thanks for the update. Why would I be getting the "nogc" error on bootup to Emmc?

It sounds like an application is checking whether the slot
is accessible when the console starts.

Have you installed a card dumper or a card tool as homebrew?

You can switch the setting on or off in the Hekate boot menu

-> Option -> autonogc

Something else to keep in mind. When booting using hekate fss0, the ngc option in Hekate only disables the slot if it finds no burnt fuses. Chainloading fusee is required to disable the slot regardless of fuse count, but then the "game card could not be read" message keeps popping up after starting/waking if a card is inserted.

I think I solved the issue. I wasn't using the latest version of Hekate. I'm still using the SXOS dongle to boot and can't find a converter that still works but hooked it up to my PC and it did start up ok.

Converter?

Just use the sxgear's boot.dat (and boot.ini) and you're done!
