Ok, I introduce to you all ... SDmounty.
Bad with names as always. :P

Consider this a beta, so I need testers, especially N3DS.

Edit: there's a larger .zip file that also has the .3dsx - no idea if it works.

Does it installed to the nand by default? FBI installed it to the NAND
Yes. I had to do it that way otherwise an "SD card has been removed" blackscreen error occurs no matter what I try.
System applications (NAND titles) don't require the SD to be inserted to work. That's what I built it as.

Works fine on n3ds except when i removed it while it was remounting (because why not), some text appeared saying it was removed again, then an error screen a second later. Also, hitting the home button crashes when the sd card is unmounted.

So you inserted then removed it real fast? lol, of course that messes it up :P

"hitting home menu" that's on the don't do list in the Readme. Also, don't switch your wifi on/off because this writes the NAND config savegame.

Remember people, when the SD card is removed, your NAND is removed too. It's a miracle this works at all. ;p

Some apps (settings, some dev apps, CIAngel, etc.) disable using the home button.

Ah, great and such a quick response!:)
The .3dsx looks as if it works as expected.

When starting it says "SD unmounted!".
Removing the SD physically is detected - "Removed SD card!"
Re-inserting SD is detected and it exits as expected without error messages from the system.

Is there a way to check if the SD is unmounted properly? Or are the messages from SDmounty sufficient?

tested on: N3DSXL 11.4E, Luma8.0, B9S1.2, starting HB via Rosalina
...also works on my 2DS.

Great! Now I can unmount the SD without leaving a trace in activity log (ban wave).:D
