Before you start the install process, it is best to backup your drive, to another drive in case something weird happens, like during the install and messes up your OS. Although it is rare that something bad happens during and/or after an install, but it can still happen. Also make sure that you are fully booted into Windows, not from the CD to start the install process.

Getting sued, I think. Even though that happens to an incredibly small percentage of people, and there are ways to do it completely untraceably, my dad's really paranoid about that.
