Well, I have

222, 223,249, 250, 251, 252,254, and 255.

Good thing I haven't left for my meal yet :P
222, 223,249, 250 might be stubbed by SM4.3 update You have made.
251, 252 they are Your bets.

Reload 251 and run:
https://code.google....cios-installer/
Then install in slot 249 using base IOS56.

If it work then You are closer to success.
If not, try reloading 252 in MMM and do the same.

Thank you, bro.
Thanks to all the guys who have posted in this thread, too.
You're all brotato chips, and I really had no doubt that gbatemp had a great community when it comes to hacking.

I have to attend a sudden function for about an hour, but when I get back, I will certainly give it a try.

Dammit!
It all went so well, and when I inputted the slot 249, and base IOS56, but when I clicked continue with these selected settings, guess what?
Exception DSI error!
No matter. I'll try it with 252 this time.

EDIT: The same thing happened with 252...
Since that was what apparantly triggered that exception error besides trying to install HBC, now I think I see where the problem is.
Sadly, I can't do anything about that problem...

Alright, I'm just going to ask for a simple solution now.
Is there a way to install the homebrew channel simply by executing a file in MMM?

Seeing you inherited this Wii from your cousin, HE obviously did'nt want the damn thing either,
so, its not like you lost something here.
Who knows what HE did to it, and its probably trashed anyways.
i'd kick it to the curb and just get a new / used Wii at this point.
At least you know you'll be getting a Wii you can hack with no problems.............

would it be worth the OP getting into recovery mode with a GC pad/savemiifrii and attempting to update over his existing 4.3 with a game that contains 4.3 to try stabilize exactly what ios/corruptions ect is on his wii? (I've skimmed this thread and havent seen this suggested considering he said he turned off the wii during an update?)I dont know if its possible to "update" over the top of the same version via recovery but perhaps this would be a base to start over?

You could sent the wii to nintendo and tell them you have the ultimate modding protection.
No, seriously. First we are giving advice to follow modmii instead of randomly trying things.
When it doesn't work, we start advising to try out randomly things....

I wonder if casper would still run on the system. Maybe it's possible to run bootmii with casper, and use it to take a backup of the wii nand.
This backup could be checked with showmiiwads/showmiinand, and maybe that will show the problem.

I know there are a lot of maybe's. Another method to get a nand backup might also work.
Maybe mmm can launch a homebrew that makes a nand backup?

Let's just say, if it doesn't work, it won't cause any harm either. Feel free to comment.

Here's a video of the process detailed by mike333, executed by yours truly.
http://www.facebook....video_processed

Note how sudden the error at the end appears. It sucks.
I don't have FB account.

Everyone please note that OP interrupted Wii update process by cutting power.
So current NAND content might be in some sort of lostclusters/crossedlinks state.

You guys still haven't given up on me? I'm touched.
Anyway, sorry mike. Photobucket was giving me problems that day. I'm reuploading it so I'll post it here soon.

I don't have a gamecude controller, but said method is noted.

The Wii can RUN, anything that utilizes a boot file.
The problem is seeing it through the end. Some won't end right, due to the f-ed up IOS.
I'll try out casper and see if it works out.

EDIT: It's done.

Not casper, but the previous video, photobucket-afied, for those of you with their sanity still intact and not given to facebook.

EDIT2: I decided to just go ahead and upload the failed syscheck report from last time.
sysCheck v1.6.2 by Erik Spyder

Region: NTSC-U
The system menu v513 is running under IOS36 (rev 3608)
Hollywood v0x11
Console ID: 100935496
Boot2 v4
Found 63 titles
Found 33 IOS on this console
Found 15 IOS Stubs on this console
No IOS information, sadly.

Hmm. Hmm.
Understood. I have no tripod, sadly because my only camera at the moment is my quite shitty cameraphone.
I'll just stabilize it with something. I'll try these out.

Oh, and casper gave me nothing. Let's try this one out.

I'll run these apps using MMM first, because having to switch back and forth between the wii and my computer is really a hassle.
Second try, I'll do it properly.

It might be corrupted, so I'll just sign up for vimeo or something.

During upload type new post, describe well what you have done and edit post for movie later.
That way You could get more methods to try earlier.

Okay.
1st try was Bootmii. I already prepared my SD card, so I immediately selected "Install IOS" and sure enough, dsi error.
2nd try, I went into WiiMod, and I couldn't find IOS 254. I wanted to install IOS since WiiMod had that option, but it says that it is an anti-piracy stub, and might brick the wii, so I'll hold on to that offer, and restarted using home button.
3rd try, Casper. I don't really know how to describe it, but I ran it, and it just went back to home screen. It didn't left a single trace on the SD card, either.

Here's (possibly) the video.

Casper tries to use IOS254 (BootMii) but fails due it's absence.
You don't have IOS254 (BootMii) and unable do install one using BootMii installer.
Also You are unable to install any other IOS - dsi error.

Are You able to remove IOS using WiiMOD?
IOS222 is good sacrifice candidate - not others.

Should I install IOS254 using WiiMod instead?
Why must I remove IOS222? I don't know if it is a stub.

You know there is one way I can give information about my Wii.
Let's see if it tells you guys anything. Hold on.

You can try but it will crash DSI way.
Why must I remove IOS222? I don't know if it is a stub.
To test if removal gets DSI error too.

1. WiiMOD
2. reload 251
3. run http://www.qj.net/qj...-xyzzy-v11.html

I've just read how xyzzy works I guess that it fails too :(
