Hacking Ugh...all I get is "EXCEPTION (DSI) ERROR"

Hold It!
IOS250 seems to be able to delete IOS50!
But afterwards, it goes into DSI!

EDIT: After re-letterbombing WiiMod, it is confirmed that IOS50 is indeed deleted.
Let's see if I can reinstall with IOS250.

With IOS36: DSI error again...
You know what, you should take a break. You've been helping me all morning and I very much appreciate your assistance.
However, I have to attend a replacement class soon. Oh well.

If there is a clue of some sort that relates to all the DSI errors, is that it never really happened often when I used these apps in the order:

Letterbomb -> MMM -> [insert app here]

Following your instructions with all the IOS delete/install fiasco, I changed the process to:

Letterbomb -> WiiMod

Hope that gives an idea. I'll see you later in about 3-5 hours.

EDIT: Also, usually when I get a DSI error, I have to restart the Wii.
With WiiMod, there are sometimes when I get a DSI error, it says "Reloading in 5 seconds. . ." and then "Reload".
Sometimes, it automatically goes to the Wii Menu. Other times, it just hangs at the "Reload" message and I have to manually restart the Wii.
I don't know if these changes will stay even after I use MMM, but I'll find out later.

Being your current cioses don't seem to work I'd try to use the install & patch ios36 in MMM. Load ios58 then you'll need either:
1. wifi working on your Wii, and use the normal mode then when asked where to get files use d-pad to select N server for each one. OR...
2. IOS36-64-v3608.wad, IOS15-64-v257.wad, and IOS15-64-v1032.wad in root folder of your SD card and use express mode. (use NUSDownloader to get files and check "Pack Wad")
It might be better to download files and put them on your SD so if ios58 doesn't work, can try to load 36,37,38,56,57, or 61 and not have to keep downloading files from N server.
I ran that ios36 patcher on my Black Wii so while I can't say it won't brick a wii, my Wii is fine I ran it few times trying different ways to launch MMM and with differnt ioses loaded.
It will give you a patched ios36 and a cios236 that you can then load and use to install all the wads ModMii downloaded to your computer and you transferred to SD card in the wad folder. I would suggest running ModMii again and tell it to download all active ioses if you didn't do it the first time. After those 59 or so wads install then your wii should be updated (no corrupted ioses) and have current cioses. Pretty much undoing all previous hacks and corrupted installs.

THEN try the HackMii installer again to install HBC.

I think I've tried those steps before, but I'll try them again.

EDIT: Nope. Instant DSI error the minute I tried to install with IOS58.

Did you get the error right when you tried to enter "install and patch ios36" or was it when it tried to read/write on SD?
Did you try any of the other ioses, 36, 38, 61?

In MMM can you go into IOS Manager and list what versions of 15, 16, 36 you have installed?

I'll check it out.
EDIT: Well, damn. My siblings are using the TV at the moment.
Sorry, but I can't give the answers right now. I'll be sure to check it out as soon as possible.

Better idea......it looks like you may have cioses that can install wads in MMM

In MMM load 250, 251,252, or 255
then go into wad manager and install a wad or 2 that you downloaded using ModMii and transferred to SD:\wad folder. IOS58-64-v6176.wad or USBLoader(s)-ahbprot58-SD-USB-v11c-IDCL.wad would be good candidates.

If it works without errors install all ModiMii wads. Once Wii is updated try HackMii installer again to load HBC.
