Chinese New Year maybe here, but Xecuter does not take holidays, so they are back again with yet another update!

To help ring in the Year of the Pig, here is a Happy New Update, this time for their SX Installer App, with v1.4 bringing with it New Features for you to enjoy trying out on your modded Nintendo Switch console, during the Spring Holiday Festival. :)
SX Installer is back with another update!

Now available in V1.4, it adds several features including support for homebrew install and auto update.
  • Added paging of game icons for large collections to lower memory consumption.
  • Added support for Retroarch ROM icons.
  • Added support for SFTP and FTPS.
  • Added "Homebrew Store" for downloading, installing, and updating SX recommended homebrew applications, including SX Installer itself.
  • Ability to dump updates and DLC's to NSP from XCI titles.
  • General UI enhancements.
That's all for today. Stay tuned!

I’m sure GaryOPA knows what he’s doing. Maxconsole have been around since the PS2 days.
That's true. If he's making what looks like an idiotic move (e.g certain piracy service). Then he'll know how to navigate around it. Even if he does get hit a $5 million fine isn't too much of a dent to him.

GaryOPA have already had trouble with the law in the past, he isn't in Canada anymore, he isn't the "owner" of Maxconsole, he isn't "part" of TX.
Nintendo can shut his stuff down is they so wish, but that means getting to fight a battle in China that is probably super expensive for a Japanese company to do.

Is there any way to see your splittet xci files the installer can't see them

Not related to Nintendo, but TX is stealing open source code without obeying the licenses. Not only is that illegal, but it's an extremely dick move as well.

Avv man, I really love to see that mountains of salt that you can find there. Such amount of salt could cover a yearly salt demand of China and more Asian countries combined.

Nonetheless, great release again. I love what the TX installer has become, a really handy tool.

I get it. So anything negative about TX, no matter how true it is, is now tx bashing. cool... (The links are kinda harsh, but still talk about reality)

Who said that? It's just very very salty. It involves more emotions than it should. TX are selling products that make piracy easy, and by now they have probably collected enough money to wipe off all the tears of laughter.

In the end, I don't really care. I'm just an ignorant consumer. I take what's best for me, and as of now, that are TX products.

for someone who hates TX, you're always one of the first to reply to any SX threads. I think you and many other haters are secret admirers of TX

Out of curiosity what homebrew is bundled?

Secondly, meh. NX-hbappstore already exists and let's the devs submit their projects directly. Unless you really want a TX skin around hb app store, I doubt you'd get much use out of it.
WHy don;t you go check, unless you do not have a sx pro? Also the homebrew app store is iffy... it will let you install a non working retroarch app on a non recommended ex fat formatted card...wich is weird.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Guess we don't need hb-appstore anymore. Inb4 it gets the Homebrew from switchbru

Also, why does this need to be a feature exactly? Does it provide any benefit over hb-appstore? Just curious.
TX tries to provide a all in one solution for it's buyers. If you do not have a tx pro , do not bother , just stay with the "free"homebrew apps and hacks. I do not bother with homebrew hacks and apps, it;s tx all the way and it;s plenty enough!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Not trying to spread hate, but isn't this app a installer? Looks like you guys are trying to convert it into a multipurpose tool...
And also, that store idea... making a homebrew store might be kinda pointless at this point, as we have hb-appstore, and if you guys only include TX apps... (having it as a SX-only store would be a better idea)
Because it;s called an installer ? If iwas called a turd, would that be better? What counts is , what it does, regardless of the name.

So paying for Homebrew tools? That's the simple way of putting it.

Never thought I would ever be paying for Homebrew other than Modchips. If you can even call that Homebrew at the most.
Sure TX made those apps, sure they can charge prices, but it just makes no sense. Especially when you have tons of developers out there that just make homebrew for the hell of it; and make it free under an Open Source License.

Actually, most of us have just stopped replying because we realize just how stupid the community can be. Gary and the SX team are literal cancer to the homebrew community and they have been years.
