Okay so I am trying to connect my Xbox 360 to my Windows Vista Home Premium. But see this is my problem. When i run windows media extender on my pc everything is fine. Now when i go to my Xbox there i am having my problem.

1:The xbox does not see my Laptop that is connected using a Ethernet cable
2:My laptop sees the xbox and asks me to install it when I press the windows media center tab on my xbox but my xbox doesn't see my laptop and tells me that there is no pc on the wireless network (which there is)

Any help?

You could try an alternative media server just to see if the issue is with windows media server, perhaps Ps3MediaServer which works with xbox360, also check your router settings to see if it segregates the wireless and wired networks, and that your firewall on your laptop is permitting connections, ect..
OK thanks.
