Hardware Tried to get a used Wii to work - found a "unusual" burned DVD in the Drive

Hello.

For about 2 years my wife gets from a Video + Game Shop liquidation sale 4 used Wii´s without any equipment.
A few moments ago I looked at one of this Wii´s and tried to get it to work.

Only black screen.Ok,no matters.Then I tried to get in an mabye installed Priiloader,nothing but when I press EJECT a burned Verbatim DVD comes out.Nothing on it.
Maybe a BootChip/ModChip in this Wii ? Disassembled it,but no,nothing,all as it should be.Reassembled,tried again,nothing.

Then I had a look on the burned DVD.

- PC Drive - empty
- USBLoaderGX - unknown format
- WiiBackupManager - shows this:



Googled the ID and it says "Universal Unbrick Disc V2".

On further research found 2 sites with Manuals for using this.

Is this disc still useful today ? I NEED an Modchip for use it,is this correct ?

You need a modchip to use it. It can be uselfull to unbrick a Wii even today I guess, but the main question is who use a modchip with a Wii ? :/

Yes,thats my main thought,in short,the DVD becomes useless today.
I am not sure until I treid it a few minutes ago with a Wii and Priiloader to get into the Recovery Mode.
The Drives Light blinks,fades in/out but no reaction on the screen.

It´s now a Disc as a "coaster" for my glass of water.

Windows will show it as "empty" because it doesn't recognize the Wii disc file system (aka "FST").
