Hardware Transfer Wii content to Wii U - Interesting!

Guess I'll either need to unhack or update my Wii around the time it comes out. Have a few N64 games I would prefer to keep

You bought them to play on one system only. No promises were made that you would be entitled to play them on future systems, so you weren't "screwed over" at all - you got exactly what you paid for.

My questions:

1. Will the transferred Wii VC games become part of the new Nintendo account system after they are transferred over to the Wii U? I really hope the answer is yes so you don't have to go through this transferring between consoles crap again.
2. Will the Wii require an OS update? I hope not, since I still have an ancient version that runs homebrew.
3. What will happen if you have invalid tickets on your Wii from non-legit content, like pirated VC games? Do you need to clean up your Wii before starting the transfer?

chances are that one way or another, this will bring one last wii update if just to allow for the transfer-option. unless they just do it by sd card or something.
you will see if or how it works when the time has come

hey i had a wii that i bought all super mario bros and paper mario 64 that drive broke(from an unfortunate timed power outage)
so i got a new one and i have the wads from those games how does it check what your wii shop account was? is it by club nintendo? if so can i transfer and play those wads on wii u?

It transfers your Wii Shop account. If you no longer have the game legitimately, they won't be playable on the Wii U.
