Random question , has anyone tried this with the 8-bitdo gamepads since they show up as switch procontrollers. It would be a wonderful bonus if that was the case.

They don't have a writable emulated SPI flash. The program can read them, but writes will always fail.

Yes, probably they don't even have an SPI. Maybe only a small eeprom for the user calibration.
Everything can be hardcoded, except the user calibration data, which the switch needs to write to save it. But this also can be omitted and send back 0xFFed values all the time.

You need to press and hold the sync button on the joy-cons as stated in the screen pop-up.

How did i not see this thread sooner?
This is pretty cool. Now all the custom colored joycon can be updated in the system.
Time to start painting

Wait, why do the pro controllers even have the ability to have different colours? What's the point of Nintendo even giving it that function?

In case they decide to release different colors like they did with the Joy-cons? It's much easier to have the same software features on all Pro Controllers than leave out the color option and have to re-write it later.

So, I got it to work, turns out if you have the programs the OP states to install, still crashes, but if you are quick enough, you'll be able to write body color, and it will crash after write. So you can re-open the program, and do the button colors, OP if you reading my comment, you should add my reply to the post to help others. And thank you so much for this tool.

and yes, pink is one of my favorite colors, laugh all you want. I'm Male btw
Why would we laugh ?
Pink is a color like any other :) (Also Pink can be really kick bottom look at Black Goku SSJ Rose :D )
And I like that setup you made it gave me idea, I used to make purple and dark purple ^^

So the new version is almost finished. Many things added and fixed.
Like restore option, debugging/custom commands, etc.

Now I'm cleaning up the code a little bit.
I already implemented S/N change, but if I'm gonna enabled it, depends on the votes.
Lastly, I implemented a nice easter egg/proof of concept.

So, tomorrow is probably the date.

I just have to use this program again to match the burgundy pearl color
Just finished putting them back together
And the red that shows up on the Switch UI needs to be darker

Does the neon pink/green pro controller appear coloured out of the box or no? If not this could be useful.

I think in a dump I saw the splatoon 2 pro controller has grey color also. And to be exact, not the default one 0x323232 (50,50,50) but 0x313232 (49,50,50)..

The pink/green colors in the app come from the splatoon2 Joy-con

EDIT:
Found the post
Okay, it dumped correctly I think. Again, this is the Splatoon 2 Pro Controller.
It was dumped with older version than 1.3 but the color inside can be found and it's 0x313232

@CTCaer ooh, you're here! Nearly time for the new version?
Not yet. I'm currently at work.

I'm also curious about splatoon 2 pro controller and I want to confirm it.
I need someone to dump it's SPI for me (and send it through PM).

Lastly, if it really is 0x313232, does it show up as grey or something different? If the latter, i will add it to the colors.
