if you want to cheat in items, a save editor is your best bet. try going to an internet cafe or library and using it if you dont have access to a pc.
also, just curious, why the japanese version?
look cheat codes for the game up. i havent been able to find many, and i doubt that you will be able to find some for a specific version of the game.
