Homebrew titledb.com just got discontinued...

its always been the classic way. These ways have just been spoiling you. Use the microsd manager if ya got a new 3ds console.
yeah, I guess I have been kinda spoiled. (by the way, Is there a alternative to microsd manager? I have a black O3DS)

I don't mind the caveman way as I have a card reader next to my PC at all times, but I do have FTPD and Filezilla if I need to do something over the internet for whatever reason and works great, so look into that. Filezilla isn't mandatory, it's just one of the many FTP programs you can use, just is plenty reliable so I went with that one.

actually thats not so super feasible from vista Onwards Due to wannacrypt Microsoft released an emergency patch long ago that Disabled SMBv1 that MicroSD Manager uses, Nintendo hasnt updated it since to use v2 or v3. Yes you can enabled it but a week later windows will disable it on it's own against your will.

only long term options are using an FTP solution, switching to linux (good luck w/ that) having a Spare system w/ Windows 2000/XP or a VM (not sure if that would work?) but there is a Modified version of MicroSD Management floating on *That* ISO Site that installs and runs on an O3DS's SYSNAND

No, actually, you don't HAVE to pop it in to your PC. You can send files through FTP using 3DShell, or boop them over. However, I wouldn't recommend using this for large files, as you're likely gonna have 1MB per second. The best way to transfer files has and always will be by popping it in to your PC, and transferring the file.
