Heh, great minds think alike?

Indeed. And Taras, yes, you've got it in one.

Well thegame07, you're a great guy, I know you're always just trying to help. But honestly, people are crying out for help, and the DS-X team sits there and locks threads. If you find anything untrue about my post, please, step forward and speak up. To be honest, I'll probably just come up with an equally if not more aggressive retort, but I think it will be honest, unlike the DS-X team.

Here is my recent addition:

Keep in mind that this is coming off of a 5 day banning, which I reference later in the post.

Well, I think DS-X Gurus post seemingly sums up what everyone here already knew (that is, if they kept up with posts prior to them disappearing).Well, I think Guru's post seemingly sums up what everyone here already knew (that is, if they kept up with posts prior to them disappearing).

The DS-X is pretty much dead. The team pretty much gave a big middle finger to the people that already purchased their device and were trying to get support for you know, what the device was supposed to do or promised to do. You are shooting yourselves in the foot, calling your own consumer base potential "criminals"... Yeah, let me tell you, after reading that I want to send more money your way... Oh wait, no I don't. Team Xodus, or whatever you guys were formerly called had half decent support from what I read. I think like most consumers, we are probably going to do an "Xit" on your product, and tell others to do likewise.

Thanks for the banning by the way. It only gave more fuel to the fire of how you are trying to cover up the fact that you guys got way over your heads in comparison to the competition, and is struggling to even keep the consumer base that you already had established.

Oh wait, you gave them the big middle finger and called them criminals. So I guess... yeah, you pretty much pissed off damn near everybody. I hope GBATemp gives you guys a nice low updated score for your pathetic treatment of people just wanting to know what the hell is going on behind the scenes. Just because it is "company policy" doesn't make it right.

Thanks for deleting a post I made where I told someone that it was best not to ask for firmware update information because it would probably brick 1/3 of the players. Thanks for deleting the entire thread about the memory hole, referencing how you guys delete threads, posts, and then deny it, or say "it was against rules" when the thread was established only to ask if other threads had been deleted.

Thanks for an initially great product that was promised "GREAT ENGLISH SUPPORT" and couldn't even keep up that end of the bargain.

And no, this is not whining. This is someone who purchased your product, thinking that it would work as advertised, and how effective support was tied in with that purchasing decision. I reasonably defined not only how disappointed I am, but also showed in various threads and posts how you could rectify this situation (update often and tell us what the team is doing). You think antagonizing your customers, calling them criminals and then saying that this secret firmware release schedule is the best route? I think you have proven that this isn't working, at all. You need to rethink your actions.

But sadly, we know this most likely will fall on deaf ears, and down the memory hole this will go too. Way to go guys. You should be ashamed.

I would love to speak to you guys about the stuff you are unhappy about but I have only recently been added to the team before i got added as a mod I got told not to speak in behalf of the ds-x team, My job is to offer support to people who are having problems with thier ds-xtreme and also to make sure the ds-x forums member are following the rules. I understand the frustration you guys are going through but as I said before I dont really have anything to say because Im only there to offer support and im happy to help if anyones ds-xtreme is having any problems. Sorry iwakura

Glad to hear

Now, I'm headed to bed. Its 2AM here (in Hong Kong), and I'm bushed from the heat, the anger, and the busy day. I don't regret writing this at all though.

When I wake up, I wonder if Injustice will be banned, or if my thread is deleted or locked... I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.

Mine makes a very pathetic paperweight now. On the bright side, the replacement R4 didn't cost very much

whats wrong with your ds-xtreme

Operationally it's fine (although it has gone boing a couple of times and required a fixer-firmware reflashing and losing all my stuff), just various compatibility/skinning/load time issues that irked me. Now with an R4, I just never use it and it's sat gathering dust like a dust gathering thing.

Taras
So this is basically a buyers remorse thread.

Not so much remorse, more "indigestion".

I wasn't the one who deleted it.
But were you the one that told them not to delete it until he went to bed? Because you knew he'd just create another topic? I'm not trying to accuse you but the DS-X Team could have at least answered some of the points, deleting it just makes everyone who reads this thread know they are even more scummy.

- Sam

Nope i never told them about it at all. I wasn't even on the ds-x forums at the time. If i asked one of the other guys to delete it they would just say "why not do it yourself" . As you may know there is always ds-x mods on the forums so If you break the rules it will more than likely get deleted fast. Guru can still see the deleted post So he may may open it up again to let everyone see his reply.

I just read through my last reply and it sounded a bit aggressive, I was going to edit it but I refreshed and saw your reply. I didn't mean to sound aggressive whether you took it that way or not

I understand the frustrations, everyone has a point of view on this.

From what i could see since i got my DS-X, they had problems, compatibility, qkin, etc. but they always fixed it. Even if they have a compatibility problem with a commercial app, i am quite sure they will fix it. Even if it takes 2 months instead of 2 hours...

What if, what if, most other popular carts get frequent support for a while, but their team move to other things and stop the updates? And then DS-X keep updating for twice that time, even if its a bit less frequent?
We never know what will happen in the future, just because it takes more time doesn't mean they won't fix it. From what you can google, compatibility have always been pretty good... EVEN if they don't allow rom talk on their website.

Some of you guys say that oddly, some are still loving the DS-X product and still protect it. Well i still like my DS-X very much, it never failed me, etc, and i'm pretty sure future updates will bring cool stuff... but thats what i think. If you think that it will forever suck, it's your point of view!

EDIT : i know that the score for the DS-X was put away for further review. i would like the gbatemp admins to check out the score for the EFA II 1 gbit, it would be fair to get that adjusted as well. i got one based on that review, but the EFA team left their users into the dust, almost after i got mine... at least the DS-X team still reply and work in their support ticket systems etc.
Please check it!

I completely agree with stefer in this case. I think some of you are taking this too seriously ... I mean, the DS-X works 100% today, doesn't it? And if your cartridge doesn't, the DS-X team is more than happy to replace it. At least that's my experience.
