Hacking this card driving me nuts.

hello all,

it used to work before. not sure what happened now it gets stuck on loading or it loads a blank menu :S

- the update firmware ( dsi(1.42) upgrade package ) off the site loads the menue properly but stuck at loading screen when running games.

- others get black screen different software different results.

any help with this would be appreciated. i am not sure how to even work this thing maybe im missing something. i know these things come in parts.

When is the last time it worked? Did it just stop working unexpectedly one day?

honestly i havent used it in a while a friend had borrowed it and he updated the firmware to 7.o not sure if that made a difference..
i am not sure actually how to set it up becasue the website only offers the kernel no language pack or anything... what is this card supposed to have on the sd card for it to work ?

i guess we can start with that...

All you should need on the card are the files the site provided. How many games have you tested?

Set the date back to a few years earlier

Just the kernel that's it ? Doesn't it need a menu of some kind ?


I have tried a few games the menu that works says that it's not playing games.

Try fully reformatting the microSD card with SDFormatter with these settings:
FORMAT TYPE : FULL (OverWrite)
FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT : ON

ok it's not a formating issue.
here is what i am trying to find out.
the website only provides the kernel which and the firmware update...
the firmware is updated.. now the only software that goes on the cart is the kernel? is that it.?
_rpg folder
_DS_MENU.dat
a game folder...

looks like it's missing a a bunch of things... correct me if i am wrong..

Have you tried redownloading the files and replacing them on your microSD?
