Awesome, you've got the Original R4. I also have the later V2 box, it came with a microSD card of 2GB as well as all of the other goodies such as the CD and USB reader.

You're not going to believe how many flashcarts I've got. 😅

Just ordered this, looks ok for the price, even if it is a bit old:

A quick update on this, haven't had a chance to really game on it yet but do not buy if you want it for Linux, unless you like terribly implemented RGB keyboards.

Acer cheaped out so settings aren't saved, every time it boots you get pseudo randomly flashing blue keys.

Thankfully you can turn the backlight off conpletely via the keyboard, but I still want a backlight.

And no OpenRGB doesn't work nor that other open source option in case you look it up.

Mouse mat.

Its most important feature is that its machine washable. Less important but still appreciable is that the cloth surface feels nicer than on my old steelseries one.
Sadly I couldn't find any good NES themed ones and this was pretty much the closest that's neither too loud color wise nor too boring like a solid black one would have been.

Ordered a horror Game Boy Color game called Deadeus. I have a couple of Game Boy Colors that have bad fuses, so I ordered some replacement fuses, a GBA SP USB-C mod kit, some SMD practice kits, some cheap (so probably not good) solder paste, and some AIO fan screws for my PC's AIO.

I know the fuses are bad because bypassing them lets the Game Boy work.

Just ordered some RAM and an SSD for the laptop:
Kingston Fury PnP 5600 2x16GB £75
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BRTJ4Q94
Samsung 990 Evo Plus (£100 with some vouchers/discounts I had)
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4549172

Still works out cheaper than the laptops I looked at which came with 2TB/32GB.

I wasn't even after an SSD, I budgeted for just taking the second 1TB SSD out of my old laptop, but my parents who are getting it said they'd rather buy it off of me....so I used it as an excuse to upgrade ;).

Now I just need to find a half decent bag which doesn't cost the earth which can fit an 18" laptop.

edit:
Note: I'm aware that cheaper RAM is available, however, they were slower and from what I've read people have had success with the above as I can't manually enable XMP.

Yup. It has an LGA1150 but don't trust the AI search results at do your own doubling down at research. This is why I have adblockers for that reason. :P

I'm stopping for now. Check what I did in the fix/modding thread. lol. It's a good laugh :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Just picked up a gamepad from CRKD called the Neo S, it's pretty neat, works on Switch, PC, and mobile. But, I doubled down and picked one up with a "Fortnite Festival" attachment, and have been using it to play through the old Guitar Heroes in PCSX2 and RPCS3. It's kinda like that old Nintendo DS attachment for guitar hero except it seems to suck less.
