Hope I got the right one
The LGA-1150 is correct
That's cool. Hope you made sure to get the right one after all.
Looking up your computer's specs can give you a clue.
Not all 1150 cpus are compatible with all 1150 motherboards. They will physically fit in the socket but not all boards had bios updates to support the haswell-dt cpus. Hopefully yours does.
Then Later on, I'll go for this:Yup it’s spring loaded like the recent R4 I bought in the original boxCollecting flashcarts like Thanos lives up to its name.
Have you got the M3 Simply v1 with spring-loaded slot in the box, or one without the spring? I have a spring-loaded R4DS v1 with the spring still in-tact and is a 'CARD-6' revision. I suppose the reason why some owners have complained is because they often remove the SD card without pushing down, which is how the spring becomes stuck. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm surprised mine is still working.
Make sure you also order some new thermal paste. Maybe q-tips and 90%+ rubbing alcohol also to remove old paste, if you don't have already. So I'm good to go here
