Well after you beat the league go see... i think Prof Elm? And he will give you a Ticket for the SS Aqua in Olivine city, take the boat and it'll take you to kanto

You can't go to Mt. Silver until you have all 16 badges, as that's where Red lies with lvl84+ Pokemon. You need to talk to Elm, and he will give you an SS Ticket. Then you take that to Mahogany, and talk to the sailor and he will let you on the boat.

Pretty much Murder everyone on there! You have to find alittle girl, talk to everyone, then talk to the sailor who blocks the way from going any further

u can get to viridian gym after u get 15 badges

I know that, I mean where as in, on the map. Is it to the right of New Bark Town? I've tried going to the right but the girl stops me. I have all 8 badges.

viridian gym is the 16th gym, u cant enter it unless u have all of the other badges. sense thats the last gym

It IS right of New Bark town, if you are play HG you need to catch or kill Ho-Oh , and if you are playing SS, you must catch or kill Lugia
