Tried figuring out the nfo. Is this strictly for Lite On drives or is it "also" compatible with them?

For some reason I think it´s only for the Lite On drives, and some of us will have to remain patient a while longer.

(edit) Thanks Armadillo, checked at bc, and yeah, that´s what it looks like. Waited this long. Still considering doing the j-tag anyway.
If I had a second x-box, I would have done it already.

Just flashed and went online, everything looking good so far. Only time will tell whether or not it's more or less banproof though, but that's the risk in playing "backups".

soo, the new jungleflasher, do you not need a probe or anything to flash lite-ons anymore?

Still need the probe to do the 74850 (unless you go down the full dump route, cutting tracks and soldering).

I am probably going to stick with 1.6 NS for the next couple of months (offline or banned machines only around here at the moment) but I will say make sure you read the release notes: everything is now splitvid which is a simple fix with ABGX360 (under the "misc" tab).

I have no data on percentages of scene rips that are or are not splitvid and I hate to think how the p2p realms fare here (some of the things/setups I see there are shockingly bad or outdated- "it "works"" being the usual line of thought here rather than "it works and it is done correctly"). A quick scan of a handful of discs on my part with ABGX360 and a few discs say older games (or rips thereof) are the most likely suspects- this includes scene rips and be default and in most guides you are not told to change splitvid. To this end some of you may end up reburning discs.
Before it gets asked ABGX360 has a nice "what is splitvid" in the startup tab.

    Oh and NFO
    Code:
C4E's iXtreme Lite Touch (LT) in association with Team Jungle & Team Xecuter
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a long development and testing process we give you the first official release of the iXtreme LT

    - Supports all Liteon Drives (74850, 83850V1, 83850V2, 93450)
    - Totally re-written code optimised for minimal patching
    - Whole banks of firware now untouched
    - New Drive response timing engine accurately mimics original drive timings
    - Full disc stealth used by default
    - Waveless booting , disc images are assumed to be correct!
    - Split-Vid used as default

    ###### WARNING ######

Warning! Ensure all disc images are checked with abgx as LT assumes all stealth/ss/pfi/dmi is correct. Disc images must also be splitvid and preferred SS v2

Warning! Lt will not save you from being banned if console is already flagged by using a previous firmware or non-stealth discs

It is also advisable to apply all system updates before flashing with LT. All future console system updates (not game updates) must be applied with caution

    ###### WARNING ######

Thanks go to Team Jungle for their hard work and efforts in the development process.
Thanks also go to Team Xecuter for their generous support to this project.

Thanks go to Team Xecuter for their generous support to this project.

RE: Calibration data in case you missed the discussion it was found when full dumping became possible (probably before that as well but that is when discussion kicked off) and multiple dumps appeared that liteon drives have some data that corresponds to the calibration of the laser. This was ignored in the hacked firmware and indeed not even dumped using the probe method or straight sata method on the 8v1 drives, to my knowledge nothing is certain here (it was postulated that it might not even be referenced in the firmware itself- just as an after failure option back in the factory or something) but this is still up in the air. Others have postulated that it might be the reason some liteon drives do not fare well after flashing and indeed games that otherwise work or worked no longer do or still do in older systems. Personally I am inclined to look at the trifecta of bad media, bad burning setups and liteon drives/all 360 drives being useless compared to straight up PC drives for that.

It looks to me like waves dont matter anymore, as long as you run the iso through ABGX & make sure the splitvid etc is all there.

I got banned in the last wave, got anotehr 360 & im gonna try this I think. If I get banned again, fuck it i'll buy another xbox,.
