Gaming The Most Under-rated NDS games

Dirt 2 is a whole lotta fun if you like off-roading. It's almost exactly like the Wii version, except it's more difficult, the handbrake is L (why!??), and you can take damage (not apparent but adversely affects performance). And while the Download Play is a bit disappointing (1 car, 3 tracks available), the graphics are decent (or "tolerable" if you LOVE graphics), the gameplay is quite good/awesome, the soundtrack is terrible (only two or three songs from the Wii version, just turn off ingame music when you have the chance), and car customization is something outta NFS. Oh, and it's almost glitch-free, so you don't have to worry about competetors going through the track or anything.

Overall: It's for people who want a four-star gameplay and two-star graphic/audio game. Buy it used. One last thing, though: smashing into opponents will send both of you two or three feet in opposite directions and can be used for a last-minute boost if you need one.

I'm a little surprised that I didn't already post Blazer Drive in here, but Blazer Drive is easily the best DS game that is simultaneously the most underrated. It's pretty much my second favorite DS game behind The World Ends With You.

Blazer Drive is known as a "sticker battle game", because the characters in the game put stickers on their arms to make them more powerful (come on, just bare with me here!). The game is actually just a very clever and very fun card game, similar to SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters Clash (the good ones for the Neo Geo Pocket Color, not the TERRIBLE one for the DS) or YuGiOh or Magic: The Gathering. There are hundreds of 'cards' to collect, and you can build several different decks based on the theme you want (all attack, recovery, support, etc.)

In addition to the great gameplay of the card game, the graphics are very nice, and the soundtrack is incredible. I would have been happy with just having a cool card game to fill the void that the SNK vs Capcom game left, but Sega really went all out with this one.

Probably a bit early to declare it underrated so soon after release, but I'm gonna say #5154: PANG: Magical Michael, because I've not doubt it'll be overlooked in amongst Layton 3, Pokemon etc. Classic Pang arcade gameplay, clever level design, crisp oldschool graphics, world leaderboards, download play and only 15meg of your SD card.

Sounds fun, but surely it's pretty much impossible to play without some Japanese knowledge?

I agree BlueStar! Pang is going to be underrated, which is very unfortunate. It is a good game but it is too short. I just got it when it was released and i beat it within 2 days without playing it very much at all. I wish that it had more levels, but the levels that are there are great!

Does that include expert tour mode and the challange mode where you unlock a 5th and 6th stage for each country by playing through the first 4 without losing a life (Think that's what it said, didn't really read it properly and now I can't getit up again, only told me the first time I went into standard mode after completing the World Tour.)

Yep, I beat that mode and everything. The game was far too easy and short. So it doesn't deserve a buy, but renting it is a good option. I was so excited for this game and it disappointed me, but it is still a great game and should be on this list. Everyone should play some PANG!

Expert mode did get a little bit tricky at times but it was all too manageable. Also, some levels really bugged me, like the levels with the blocks that reappear after time and you needed to traverse them. I hated those levels. There wasn't any shooting of bubbles and it wasn't PANG. It was some other puzzle game. But these levels weren't common so i can forgive it. Anyone needing some more PANG should try bubble struggle and rebubbled, they are free online flash games.

Yes, i agree, they were good. I was not talking about those, i mean the levels with the blocks that reappear a bit after being shot. But i like that you can't change pang. It is perfect

Long time lurker here.
I just wanted to say how glad I am at the inclusion of Lock's Quest.
Definitely one of the most challenging, fun, and addictive games for the nds I've ever played.
It got me through a brutal 12 hour international flight a few years back, and although I haven't played the game in a few years, I can still hear the music in my head

dream pinball 3d - best pinball game on ds. graphics are trash and the tables arent too exciting, but the game as a whole is a lot better than flipper critters and metroid pinball imo. think there was another pinball game i played, but it's not even worth mentioning.

mlb power pros 2008 - quirky baseball title with fun pick up and play style gameplay. only downside is the lack of modes (main modes are exhibition and tournament, no career)

Just finished playing Digimon world DS and it was bloody good! anyone who likes Pokemon should try it as it is quite similar.

It isn't a conversion, it is a completely different game. Maxis decided that they wouldn't bother trying to recreate the entire 'proper' sims experience on the DS so they made an entirely different one. They changed this for the sims 3 though. Both are good games too.
