it's a Touchpod update, why would it fix issues on Sakura??? Touchpod's game engine has nothing to do with Sakura
you'll have to wait for a Sakura update

What?

Changelog Sakura 1.42X:
"2. Using M3DS Real original system v4.5Beta X to run the game engine, game compatibility and M3DS Real System v4.5Beta X the same as original."

The game engine actually uses TouchPod now. That's why we need the update. Can somebody who got it plzze upload it?

It's the same game engine but Sakura does not read the same exact engine as touchpod.

Basically in simple terms they have to copy over the game engine from touchpod to sakura's folder (I know there's more too it than that just simple terms cause I'm tired).

It's there!! Our Sakura Download Link is now:
http://filetrip.net/f4374-M3-Sakura-1-41-2...4a-X-(E52).html

This is wrong: M3 Sakura 1.41 2nd Ed. + Touchpod 4.4a X (E52)

Download the file & read the Read-Me. It's what we've been waiting for: M3 Sakura v1.42 + TouchPod v4.5 X (updated 19 October, 2009)!

Yippeee & thanks to our Sakura Ninja master!

That means Sakura 1.42X uses the same game compatibility as Touchpod 4.5Beta X, it doesn't mean Sakura uses Touchpod files to run the games

Light and get away with loud report. We believed in high quality product. Tender to your mouth. Nicer to your mind. Always takes you to the cow-mooing meadow. Smart noshery makes you slobber.

It ALSO doesn't mean TouchPod is worth downloading since the firmware's a piece of shit and is a downgrade from the M3 Simply.

Ok may be a silly question (it may've been asked before but I can't be bothered to read through 97 pages) & I know that on the first page I can usually download the whole 'System' folder anyway but....

There are times I find out that 'System' is updated but 'Sakura' is not & the first page link to the 'complete package' hasn't been updated (yet) - so I go & download the [System] files to update.

Once installed on the m3i0 I lose 'Sakura' - so I then have reinstall the full 'Sakura' to get it back

Is there a way to keep the current 'Sakura' version & copy over [or update] only the files relevant to the 'System' update, so keeping the Sakura intact - & if so what files are they ??

So you're saying that the topic post of this thread hasn't updated the link yet? So you go to, say, handheldsources.com to download it? Then the problem is the m3 team has abandoned the superior and wholly better Sakura in favor of their outdated TouchPod crap. You can't even download Sakura these days without getting TouchPod included as a dual boot.

Make sure you scroll down below the section on "System for M3i Zero" (which is written in slightly larger bold faced font) to the section right below it "M3 Sakura System" (written in smaller bold faced font). You have to download that and you get some suspicious msi file, which is an installer file despite the fact that the only thing we need to download is a bunch of files. Who knows what they're trying to piss into our registry or whatever with. Don't worry though, because you can use Universal Extractor to get the folders out without that pesky and highly suspicious "installation" crap. Just beware, their website has sucked muchly lately in the field of downloading. .

basically, you could just overwrite all files in the System folder except the g6dsload.eng file
or if you want to keep it minimum, only overwrite minigame.eng and menu, eng if you're using the English language interface

wondered why this is still in the first post
"NOTE: Flashing with the v1.4 f_core.dat will disable the Soft-Reset function in Sakura. "

it was a firmware problem and has already been fixed in Sakura 1.41 2nd Edition

or you could rephrase it to NOTE: Flashing with the v1.4 f_core.dat will disable the Soft-Reset function in Sakura 1.41 and or below

Thanks for the heads-up. I haven't kept up with the versions because I haven't had time to play my DS for a while.

So am I right in understanding that 'g6dsload.eng' is the actual 'sakura' launcher then ?? - & I guess that 'minigame.xxx' & 'menu.xxx' are the actual [System] updates for game compatibility

If so thanks for the info

Hi,

The download link in the 1st post doesn't seem to be working, is there any chance to get a mirror link please ? Thanks in advance !

Try again works perfect. It's not a direct download link. GBAtemp now uses filetrip for downloading purposes. Just click download...go to filetrip and then from the right up click the dark green download button. An advertise will popup but ignore it for 4-5 secs after that the file will come to you.

Yes that what I was doing but it still doesn't work for the latest version while it perfectly works with the older ones

If you'd also like to simulate the advertisement, merely place a sharp prong on your chair seat, sharp side up, and sit on it for an hour. For full benefit, use multiple prongs.

you could always update it yourself by downloading the firmwares from the official sites

I am using the latest copy of sakura from the first page on (2) different M3 Real cards and although everything seems to work ok, I am having problems with the soft reset function. I can soft reset out of the game and back to the list of roms, but when I select the next rom to play, it starts to load it (I can see the progress bar at the bottom of the screen) and then it freezes forcing a reboot. This is every time on both DS. Please help. Thanks.
