@Josshy0125 Would you please stop insulting people?
You dont have to agree with everything anyone says, but telling people to "shut the fuck up" and calling them "idiots" is no way to act for an adult.
    You have a different opinion?
Thats fine. Still no need to lose your shit.
There is only a single person posting here that i think is obnoxious and it isnt beard00.

    Edit:
@Xzi Agreed! A Day-One Patch seems likely, but isnt it unusual that no patch for Links Awakening is online, yet?
A Patch for Witcher 3 has been online for ages, even Ni No Kuni had a patch online before release.
Cant say i have seen a Patch being uploaded on the actual day of release before.
That doesnt mean it isnt happening tho, mind you.

Apparently when the updates are online before the official release date, it's so reviewers can use them to review the game early. I've read (in this thread maybe?) that there was an embargo on reviews before the release date for Link's Awakening, so maybe that's why the patch isn't online already.

FWIW I've been enjoying the crap out of this game, just finished the 3rd dungeon. With a generous overclock, I haven't noticed any slowdown except for at the swamp.

Yeah, that does make a lot of sense.
Isnt it unusual tho to embargo a Nintendo First-party title like that?
Could be standard procedure, for all i know, but i have never heard of this happening before.

I don't know honestly, haven't paid much attention to that stuff. You could go check out the dates of reviews of big Nintendo games compared to their release dates, but someone here will probably have an answer already.

Embargo is the day for releasing the review. Half the point of the embargo is to give media outlets time to play the game thoroughly and write and edit a decent review, instead of racing each other to get some crappy impressions out the door before others. That means getting whatever update you want the review based on out ahead of time.

In spite of that, day 1 patches releasing literally on day 1 isn't that uncommon, because the devs really are getting all the fixes they can in at the very last minute. Days Gone reviews really suffered from this for instance, because none of those reviewers are even playing the game on Day 1 anymore.

Mario Odyssey released on the 27th, a review from IGN was released on the 26th
Super Mario Party released on a 5th, IGN review releases on the same day
Mario Maker 2 released on a 28th of that given month, IGNs review went online on the 26th

Guess this is what Nintendo does.

Going off personal experience from dealing with Nintendo PR, they either keep embargo to the morning of release, or the afternoon of the day before release.

    So, who knows.
It really could go either way.
Wether we get a patch today/tomorrow or not, i can wait.
Just glad that we get so many amazing Switch games this month.
    We really are lucky.
Zelda, Ni No Kuni and Dragon Quest XI S?
This may be the best month the Switch has ever had imho.

Ni No Kuni has the same graphical and sound problems it had on the ps3 launch. Took like a month for the patches solve it’s problems. Mainly caused by over heating of the cell processor. I wonder if Zelda and Ni No Kuni are having similar problems on the switch?

The blur at the edges of the screen look so stupid because there is no smooth transition between the blur and the normal image so it just like as if the bottom parts of the screen have a straight blur layer which doesn't look natural or intended. It rather looks like the edges of the screen have glitch

Does installing the nsp work on 6.2 (ignoring firmware version)?
Or do I have to upgrade?

Dropped frames are part of the artistic intent of the game. Please stop trying to play God by insisting it needs patched or improved with hacks. Incredibly disrespectful.

Another thing is the controls. Link doesn't use the benefits of an analog stick he can only move in 8 directions. They should give us a way to use the d pad because controlling in 8 directions using an analog stick is not only awkward, it even ruins the whole game

They want you to solve this the same way they do in Smash: buy a Gamecube controller.
