I don't really use Linux for home use, but for servers I've been using Debian and lately I've been trying out Ubuntu Server because I'm fed up with packages being so outdated. Well, as far as I can tell, they're still pretty outdated on Ubuntu Server, but maybe slightly better?
I have had dual boot setups on my home PCs though, I've tried SuSE, Linux Mint and Ubuntu. I couldn't stand the WM/DE in Linux Mint personally, though I know a lot of people like it, so I prefer Ubuntu (with Gnome or XFCE)
SuSE actually turned me off Linux for years as it was the first Linux distro I ever tried and it was just difficult to use.
