I've been trying to follow chatgpt steps, apparently, i was missing a few stuff about Vulkan
Somehow, my GPU was not "detected" by Vulkan or something. After following the steps to troubleshoot my problem, and finally pinpoint what it was, I did all the lines of commands to fix it, and then, sudi reboot, and.... it's gone...
My pc won't boot linux anymore
:rofl2:

Any ideas? After the linux mint logo, my screen goes black and nothing else

At this point I suspect your install was somehow messed up as I've been able to run Citron on three separate Mint systems including my 2 Nvidia systems. Granted not the latest versions of Mint.

What is your exact hardware setup by the way? including other things like monitors, etc.

To be honnest, I have no idea what exactly you are looking for. How is my monitor supposed to mess up my linux?
I'm noob at linux, but I don't think a monitor would mess an OS on its own, unless I'm missing something?

I wanted to make sure it wasn't something simple like it appearing on the other screen.

For example, yesterday whilst testing, the 'main' display kept defaulting to a different screen even when it was switched off unlike on Windows where it would automatically change.

This is nothing personal, again something just feels off about your installation.

Yea, I also have this bug, but I can recognize it when it happen. And no, it wasn't that, not this time.

Something is off, indeed, but I'm still trying to figure out what...

Well, the Steam problem is fixed now. It seems like installing NVidia's previous drivers was all I needed to do (Installing the version 570 instead of the latest 580 version)

Problem still not fixed, since I get a black screen on reboot.
Still trying to figure this out, but I'm getting out of solution. I tried chatgpt for days now, but I feel like I'm just repeating the same steps over and over again.
I uninstalled drivers 570, installed 550, uninstalled 550, installed 535, but now, I just can't get my second monitor to work, my GPU is "not detected", anyone has any ideas on what to do?

PikaOS. For what I've heard its kind of the new Mint where things actually are updated (since its bleeding edge)

It was the attack of the ntfs. Among also likely the attack of the Nouveau drivers.

But yeah, for any other new linux users, please be careful about trying to run steam games on ntfs, it just tends to break a lot and create some werid issues.

We got things up and running (for now. And hopefully forever.)
