Eh, the SX Gear isn't really expensive, and given that it is essentially the SX Pro, it's going to be well-built and small.
I mean, for those who don't want SX OS... At least we already know how small and solid it is. And I suppose it is more flexible.Actually if you think about it, the SX Gear is not worth it compared to the SX Pro at this point in time. You get a blank dongle with the possibility to install different payloads but at the same time you get that too with the SX Pro with a little more hustle, plus you get a licence for SX OS.
for $24 maybe, but not for $40I mean, for those who don't want SX OS... At least we already know how small and solid it is. And I suppose it is more flexible.
What? I'm talking about the SX Gear here.for $24 maybe, but not for $40
also there is cheaper alternative options for less then $20 that do the same excat thing.
yes, i am talking about SX gear, there is some sellers that selling it right now for $40.What? I'm talking about the SX Gear here.
Also, sure, there are cheaper dongles, but the SX one *is* solid and small. All the other dongles I've seen so far are pretty big and/or ugly. Not that it matters much, but hey. At 25USD, it's not unreasonable.
Erm, that's a pretty.... unreasonable price. The fuck? That's almost the price of an SX Proyes, i am talking about SX gear, there is some sellers that selling it right now for $40.

It's still high lulhttp://sxflashcard.com/team-xecuter-sx/46-team-xecuter-sx-gear-for-sx-os-on-nintendo-switch.html
welp, they just lowered the price to $37.80.
i guess they knew they made a mistake.
I somehow doubt R4S is going to be well-built.here is site that selling it for 24.70 € (pre order price)
their original price is 34.10 €
https://www.shop01media.com/en/Nintendo-Switch-accessories/TX-SXP-Xecuter-SX-Gear-Switch
this is selling it for $28, the origina price is $30

this is the only one that selling it for $25

i stil thinkg $25 is overpriced for it.
R4S dongle which is small is selling it for less then $20.
and let's not forget Team Rebug and the other team (MTX i think).
Personally small isn't a need at all.Eh, the SX Gear isn't really expensive, and given that it is essentially the SX Pro, it's going to be well-built and small.
Well, yes, I mean the case. The SX Pro uses decent quality material, so that's cool I guess. And yes, small does matter, depending on where you plan to store it.Personally small isn't a need at all.
I think that a good dongle should:
- (low priority, depends if the dongle can be disassembled simply) Have a proper way to be charged (don't need to replace the battery, or annything that powers it)
- (high priority) Have a proper way of switching payload (either officially throught a software or by building your own)
- specs (how much time it takes to boot (generally lede built dongle), buttons on the dongle,etc...)
I was thinking, when there where no alternatives, to get that dongle, but I didn't care about sx os (actually yes there were other ways but you needed to solder stuff or get a router (wasn't necessarily convenient, and it came out later)). But now there are. And there are no reasons for me to support this team anymore.
What do you mean by well built? The hardware is the same, so the case...?
wanted to let people know there is another dongle available, it has a power button and a reset switch so looks interesting . Just ordered one to try it out and will let you know on this page how it works.
For the people interested, here's the link. Had to buy some extra stuff to get the 4 euro off so I ordered this, an usb c to usb a cable, a usb c otg adapter with a 56k ohm resistor and 10 magnet reeds for 14 euro in total.

Which one? ns-atmosphere or the one in the thread?Been using the dongle for almost a week. Even though it looks kinda janky, it does the job every time without exception.
